Travel Time A finicky machine. I've been working off & on, on this machine for over a year. Since I don't have any schematics, it's the machine I work on every now and then. I've fixed the machine to the point where I it resets just about everything, but it's stuck just before it fire the kickout coil and turns on the flippers. September 2008, I won another one in an auction. The "new" one has a playfield that's a little rougher then my first. The big difference is that this one was very easy to get going electrically. I have managed to get off a couple of games, and now know how the machines supposed to play. As the playfield was warped, I've had to do some gluing up to try to get the playfield veneer to bond back to the subsurface. This machine will be one I try to restore, by trying my hand at painting and then I will lay down a varethane coating. Of course if this does not work I can always cobble two machines into one. August 2009 I've found that using the playfield from my first machine and the rest of my second machine let me get one combined machine going. Unfortunately, the DC coils/circuits seem to be the trouble now. At present the timer circuit runs about 5 to 10 times faster then it should. When I get around to placing my microchip order for my Gottliebs, I will repair this problem. Until then, this machine will go to the working category. My Photos
